MGM Resorts International ORDER TAKER IN-ROOM DINING in Atlantic City, New Jersey

  • Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property.

  • Creates and ensures a fresh, positive and exciting environment where sanitation, flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount.

  • Acts as a role model to all team members and always presents oneself as a credit to Borgata and encourages others to do the same.

  • Practice teamwork and support fellow team members to create an energized, positive work atmosphere.

  • Complies with all departmental and Company policies.

  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of any questionable association.

  • Practice excellent grooming and uniform standards.

  • Willing to take continuing training and education classes offered at Borgata or outside institutions.

  • Follows all OSHA and safety guidelines set forth by the Borgata.

  • Knows and adheres to health and sanitation guidelines at all times.

  • Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, polite, congenial and efficient attitude.

  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

  • Wears and utilizes all safety equipment necessary to perform job function.

  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

  • Dispatching in room dining orders and amenity orders to servers

  • Up sell and promote items.

  • Answer guest questions regarding Food & Beverage Menu.

  • Responsible for inputting order into point of sales system in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for closing all open checks to the appropriate account.

  • Excellent phone and customer service skills. Good memory, detail oriented with keen awareness of surroundings.

  • Good organizational and computer skills.

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

  • Maintain established company and departmental uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Responsible for expediting distribution of in room dining orders and amenities to all waiters in a timely and fair manner

Job Requirements

  • Must have a Casino Service Employee license or ability to obtain one

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as an Order Taker in high volume and/or Room Service environments

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
